  Deb Hammon (C) is snipping the red ribbon for the Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony for the new playground area located in the N.W. quadrant of the City Park. Adults attending were: L to R- Eldon Russell, Bonnie Kanel, Vicki Behrends, Pastor Ron Russell, Deb Lewis, C of C President Sandy Stalder, Lions Gene Dahlke and Vanes Moerer, Deb Hammon, Mark Joy, Norva Edwards, Susan Joy, Shari Drake and son, Rose Holman, Liz Hilgenfeld, Lion president Kevin Burnison, Lynette Riemersma and son Taylor. The equipment includes Yogi bear teeter totter, a spiral slide, chin up bars, fire truck, swing, alligator rocker, elephant slide, horse rocker, and a bench for adults to sit and watch the children play. The Humboldt Jaycees worked on three different days helping to assemble the new playground equipment. Eldon, Vicki, and Lynette were present at the ribboncutting.
